Design straddles the fence—acting as a bridge between art and commerce, and for this reason, we are fascinated by art and the artistic process. As design evolves—powered by the urgency of technology and the avarice of unquenchable markets—art remains.
In many ways, art might be the last bastion of authentic self expression and therefore, differentiation for brands. For that reason, we plunged headlong into an examination of art and artists, looking into the process, motivations, and hopes of people who create art for brands.
